IN THE COMMUNITY
Community Projects/Peer-to-Peer Fundraising
From building picnic tables to repairing windows in the local YWCA, our team participates in many community projects throughout the year…many include opportunities for outside volunteers too!
Peer-to-Peer (P2P) Fundraising Events
Hosting a peer-to-peer fundraiser - like a car wash, bake sale, or “Habitat MontDelco” night at a high school football game - is a great way to give back to your community! When you donate money to Habitat MontDelco you not only increase awareness of the critical lack of affordable housing options that are available to families in your neighborhood, but you also contribute to the solution by making it possible for those low-income families to purchase a safe and stable place to call home.
Learn more about peer-to-peer:
Event hosts designate a certain percentage of all proceeds raised during the event to be donated back to Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery and Delaware Counties.
Proceeds from P2P fundraisers provide funds to complete affordable home builds, support critical repairs, and more.
Habitat MontDelco has made it easy for schools and community groups to host a P2P event - including the ability to create a custom event page, set donation amounts, and track progress. We’ve developed a toolkit with tips and instructions to support your event. Depending on the scope and size of the event, our marketing team may even assist you with the promotional materials.
